Melkior Gold Projects
Melkior owns 100% interest in several properties in Ontario and Quebec with the potential for gold discoveries. Our flagship property is the Carscallen Gold Project which hosts 7 gold zones where 98% of drill holes have yielded gold mineralization, and where potential for volcanic mafic sulfide (VMS) ore has been shown at depth. Carscallen is in the Timmins gold camp.
Carscallen Project
During the past 100 years the Timmins area has produced over 70 million ounces of gold, making it one of the richest gold camps in Canada. The Porcupine Destor Fault Zone (PDFZ) and its associated splays influence the location of many of the major gold deposits in the Timmins camp and the Abitibi Greenstone belt. Timmins is also home to Kidd Creek, one of the largest VMS ore deposits in the world.
Genex Project
The Genex Project is an advanced gold-copper VMS exploration target with significant near-
term resource potential. The zones have been historically interpreted over approximately 300
metres wide with a sub-vertical dip. Historical drilling completed along strike and across inside
500 metres of a strongly altered volcanic sequence revealed satellite gold-copper
mineralization that proves the expansion potential of the system.
Maseres Project
Melkiors claim group, predominantly located in Maseres Township, adjacent and south of Souart and Barry Townships in the Urban-Barry Gold Camp in Quebec, Canada. The Maseres Project is immediately south of Osisko Mining and Goldseek Resources Inc. claim groups that straddle the boundary of Souart and Maseres Townships.
White Lake Project
Melkior Resources White Lake Project is comprised of 328 contiguous claim units (12,966 acres), located approximately 15 km northeast of the Hemlo Gold Mine currently operated by Barrick Gold Corporation. The White Lake Property is situated in the north-eastern portion of the Hemlo Greenstone belt, which has only seen sporadic interest in the last four decades, since the Hemlo staking rush.
Val d’Or Project
The Val-d’Or Property is located 35km east from Val d’Or and is accessible by a well-maintained dirt road as well as logging roads. The 120 claims cover approximately 6,333.04 hectares (63.33km2) and currently have over $340,000 in exploration reserve credits and no restrictions on these claims.
