Melkior Resources Inc. (“Melkior”) is pleased to announce that drilling on its Carscallen Project was initiated on July 25, 2017. The drilling, budgeted for an initial 2,700 m, is being implemented as described in the 2017 Exploration Plan available on the Melkior website (https://www.melkior.com/wp-content/uploads/MKR-2017-Exploration-Plan.pdf).
On June 2, 2017, Melkior flew a fixed wing LIDAR survey (18 points per square meter) over portions of its Carscallen claim group. This data has been received and provides highly accurate and detailed elevation data over the active exploration area. This elevation data provides some insight into geological structures and will aid in the ongoing exploration program.
In conjunction with the interpretation of the LIDAR data, Melkior will be implementing a soil sampling program on the Carscallen Project within prospective areas that require supporting data for specific target selection. This soil sampling program will be initiated as soon as practically possible.
Jim Deluce, CEO of Melkior comments, “The drill program on our flagship Carscallen Project has commenced. Melkior has leveraged the historical exploration data to reduce our drilling risk and maximize our opportunity for success. We hope this exploration program will be a turning point in Melkior’s history and it will lead to the generation of new exploration centers in Carscallen.”
Wade Kornik, P.Geo., has approved the information contained in this release. Mr. Kornik is the Exploration Manager of the Company and is Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD
